Nǐ hǎo, my name is Alice!
I am a Chinese teacher with more than 20 years of experience delivering quality postsecondary instruction to beginning, intermediate and advanced foreign language students. Committed to promoting appreciation for Chinese culture, history, and literature. Patient and friendly with students and dedicated to providing an engaging and valuable experience to pupils in the classroom. I have also been a mathematics championship competition trainer for consecutive years. I believe that when facing problems with organized work and hands on, it’s what makes students successful and maximize creativity.
My students know me as Madame Asia! I am a native French and German speaker with a solid knowledge of Spanish. I have been working in Education for 23 years. I have a Bachelor in French and German Studies with Concentration in Literature and Culture from UCLA. I have traveled and lived in many countries throughout Europe and North Africa. My inherent foreign language passion and abroad experiences has enabled me to foster exciting and engaging classes that successfully motivate and develop thoughtful and enthusiastic students! I believe that this exposure will not only shape great minds but also deepen the student’s appreciation for other cultures in their daily and future lives!
